I've recently begun having unattended shutdowns of my MacPro running Mavericks. In the generated report I notice that one of the kernel extensions that gets loaded is 'com.kaspersky.nke'. A few weeks ago I foolishly had installed the Kaspersky Anti Virus app since I had obtained it as a free app. I quickly decided that this was a mistake and I tried to uninstall it with the installer app. It appears that most components were indeed removed from my computer. But two kaspersky components continue to be loaded when I restart my computer. One was 'com.kaspersky.klif.kext' and the other is 'com.kaspersky.nke'. I have searched everywhere to find these kernel extensions without success so that I could manually remove them. I did find and extention named simply 'klif.kext'. I manually removed it and now the extension 'com.kaspersky.klif.kext' no longer loads on rebooting. But I still get 'com.kaspersky.nke' loading. It may not be causing problems but I would prefer to get rid of it altogether.
